Deckhand® Pro – 3.12.31.6345

September 1st, 2023
Requires iPadOS 15 or later

This release addresses the following:

Changes:

Notifications Authorization Prompt Removed: In this release, we have removed the Notifications Authorization prompt that used to appear when you started Deckhand. Previously, Deckhand asked users if Notifications should be allowed, but this request has been obsolete for over three years.

The main reason for this change is to streamline the user experience and remove unnecessary interruptions during startup.

Fixed Issues:

Account Creation Issue in “User Preferences“: We are pleased to announce that in this release, we have fixed the issue where creating a new account in “User Preferences” did not properly create user groups. This problem previously resulted in the error message: “No organisations were found for this user.”With this fix, you can now create new accounts in “User Preferences” without encountering any issues related to user groups. Your user management experience in Deckhand Pro should now be seamless and error-free.

Performance Enhancements for Large Activity Sets: In this release, we are excited to announce the resolution of various performance problems that users encountered when working with large sets of activities. These issues primarily affected users with more than 2000 activities, but you will notice improvements even if you have smaller datasets. The following improvements have been made:

  • Faster Loading Times: Activities will now load more quickly, enhancing your overall user experience.
  • Smoother Navigation: Scrolling through and managing large activity sets will now be smoother and more responsive.
  • Reduced Lag: You will experience significantly less lag when creating or archiving activities in bulk.

With these performance fixes, Deckhand Pro is now better equipped to handle large datasets, making it more efficient and enjoyable for all users.

Thank you for your continued support and valuable feedback. We strive to provide you with the best experience, and your reports help us identify and resolve any issues promptly. If you encounter any further problems or have suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Happy sailing with Deckhand Pro!
